African starling

There are numerous species of starlings in Africa. I actually photographed a few more species, but I can't find them. I'll post them as soon as I find them.

Blue-eared Starling

This is a blue-eared glossy starling. Metallic blue starlings are numerous, and this species is the most common of the blue starlings.

bristle-crowned starling

This is a bristle-crowned starling. If you look closely, you can see a hump on the nose. I think it is quite rare.

Fisher's Strling

This is fisher's starling. I wonder where this was taken.

Hilderbrandt's Starling

This is Hildebrandt's Starling, which is relatively common on safaris.

Magpie Starling

This is Magpie Starling. She has a black-and-white body and red eyes.

red-winged starling

This is a red-winged starling. It is a relatively large starling. When it flies, the underside of its wings are reddish. I think I have a better photo...

ruppel's long-tail starling

This is a large blue starling, the ruppel's long-tail starling. This is also a common sighting.

Wattled Starling

This is a slightly different Wattled Starling. The male has a crest and fleshy folds from head to face. They often perch on large animals, so many people mistake them for oxpeckers. A famous wildlife photographer also made the mistake.
