Amboseli National Park tours in Kenya

Amboseli National Park is located south of Nairobi, Kenya, and east of the border with Tanzania. Despite its relative proximity to Nairobi, wildlife is abundant, and the view of Mount Kilimanjaro from here will take anyone's breath away. Although Mt. Kilimanjaro is actually in Tanzania, it is hard to find a more spectacular panoramic view.

Amboseli tours from Nairobi

Amboseli is one of the most popular safari destination from Nairobi. If you only have a few days, then 2-3-day tours are just OK for you. Camping tours are also recommended. If you have more time and money, you should choose a tour, in which you can visit several national parks and animal reserves in Kenya, or in Tanzania.

Amboseli National Park is also famous for its abundance of elephants, and researchers have been tracking and studying the elephants in Amboseli for a long time. Although there is only one elephant in the photo above, you can definitely see herds of dozens of elephants. This photo was actually used as a background for a Japanese TV drama and as a poster for a company selling Kilimanjaro coffee.

One of the unique features of Amboseli is that the lodge is located in the heart of the national park. In the photo below, the sun is just about to set. In many national parks, you have to leave for the lodge before the sun begins to set, but in Amboseli, you can enjoy your safari until just before dusk, so you have a chance to see this pageant of light.
