Owls in Africa
Owls are one of the most popular birds and we have received requests to add their photos, but they are nocturnal. Even if I sometimes see them during the daytime, they are often found in the dark shadows of trees, making it difficult to photograph them.
This is Verreaux's eagle owl. This is one of the largest owls in Africa. This photo was taken on the shores of Lake Baringo. The white-faced scops owl in the photo below was also taken at the same location, but sometimes Verreaux's eagle owls even catch and eat this little owl.
