Mousebirds in Africa

The name "mousebird" comes from its long tail and the way it runs from branch to branch, which resembles a mouse. Mousebirds are found only in Africa.

This is a Speckled Mousebird, a bird that is commonly seen around town. Its color is brown and plain, but if you look closely, you can see its stylish head.

This is the Blue-naped Mousebird. It is more beautiful in color, but its distribution in Kenya is not as wide as that of the Speckled Mousebird.
